Conversion - Paise into Rupees
To convert paise into rupees or into rupees and paise, we separate the ones and tens digits from the given number of paise. The number formed by one and tens digits gives us the paise and the remaining number gives us the rupees. Another way is to simply put a point after 2 digits from the right.
Illustration 1: Convert 1815 P into rupees.
Solution: As we know that the number formed by one and tens digits gives us the paise
So in 1815 the digits at ones and tens place are 15 so they will be considered as paise and the remaining are rupees
1815 P = 1800 P + 15 P = Rs. 18 and 15 P = Rs. 18.15.
